Lord God, your ways and your works are a closed book to me. I don’t understand what you are doing; it just doesn’t make sense. I open up your Word and the things that you are trying to show me and to teach me seem hidden from me. I pray, help me understand your ways and your word. Make me like a miner who goes down into the mine every day to seek after treasures from the earth. Make me one who mines your Word for truth and riches from you. Open the eyes of my heart and my mind that I may rejoice in what you teach me. Open my mind that I may understand what you are telling me and all people. Make your Word come alive in my heart and soul. It is full of your Spirit and full of life. I can’t wait to see what you will show me next. Amen.
