Pastor Daniel Moll

Pastor Daniel Moll was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin and attended Salem Lutheran Church. From as early as he can remember he always wanted to be a pastor, and he had plenty of opportunities to serve at his church. Since his parents were deeply involved laypeople, Dan had many opportunities to help out and was the very definition of a church rat, always around the building and the grounds. After his eighth grade year his parents shipped him off to Watertown, Wisconsin where he attended what at the time was called Northwestern Prep School, but these days is called Luther Prep School. There his preparation for to be a pastor continued and after graduation he enrolled at Martin Luther College which is the pastor/teacher training college for the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. After graduation from MLC he enrolled at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin.

During his time at Seminary he married Mandy and there they had two of their three children. For his third year at Seminary, he vicared or interned at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Columbus, Ohio. After returning to the Seminary for his fourth year, he graduated in 2004 and was assigned to Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Tigard, Oregon, a suburb of Portland. While in Portland, his third child was born, the only one who can claim to be a native Oregonian (a big deal up there). He spent 14 years serving in Portland where he learned that “Keep Portland Weird” was not just a slogan but a way of life. Pastor Moll and his family embraced that idea, perhaps a little too much, but it gave him the opportunity to meet the people of Portland where they were at, and to grow his “magnificent” beard.

In the spring of 2018, Pastor Moll received a divine call to serve at Abiding Faith Lutheran Church in Fort Worth Texas. He accepted the call and was installed in September of 2018. He is rejoicing in the blessings of serving in Texas and with the opportunity to share the gospel in a new setting. He would love to get to know you and serve alongside you in God’s kingdom.  He very much enjoys the outdoors and is an avid camper. He enjoys spending time with his family, and watching the Wisconsin Badgers or Green Bay Packers when the opportunity presents itself.
