Dear Jesus, your suffering on the cross has given me the courage to come out of the shadows of excuses and denial to face the ugliness of my own sins. I am the reason you hung there on that cross. But you are the reason too. You wanted to rescue me and get me out of my huge predicament. Now, help me to live the peaceful and honest life of one who is transparent about his failings and honest about his desire to get it right for your glory and other's good. AMEN
