Dear Father in heaven, I do not want to keep begging in the same old mundane way, "Lord, please do this or that because I know what I need." Instead, I want to honestly pray, "Thank you for perfectly ordering my life and for leaving behind your word to guide me through the dark forest." I want a trusting, thankful heart, not a heart that always gives you advice. Change me Lord and make me like your Son who trusted you even when you made his life a guilt offering for others. AMEN

Peace is learning to trust God more than advise him.
