“Do not forsake your friend or a friend of your family, and do not go to your relative’s house when disaster strikes you-better a neighbor nearby than a relative far away.”  Proverbs 27:10

Dear Heavenly Father, During recent winter storms that knocked out our electricity, water, propane gas, and cell phone connectivity as well as our morale, we were blessed with good neighbors who made room for us in their lives, cooked meals for us and shared the burden of inconvenience.  They were as faithful to us as any family member.  Thank you for using this storm to give us time and reason to share life with each other like family.  As much trouble as the week was, I came from it.  You are an amazing God that gives to people even when it looks like you are taking away.  Help me to live in faith, hope and love with my neighbors as we try to get our homes and lives back to normal.  Amen.

When you go through an epic struggle expect to find an epic friend here and there too.
