“When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.” Matthew 12:43-45

Dear Jesus, You love to live in our hearts through your word. You know that we cannot survive spiritually against the band of demons roaming the earth if we are depend on our moral strength to keep our hearts clean. We need you there with your purging grace and restoring truth. Stay in my heart through your Holy Spirit and give me your power to keep our hearts clean. Stay in my heart through your Holy Spirit and give me your power to keep my life safe from all the destructive influence of the devils’ lies. Give me your keen spiritual discernment to tell the difference between good and evil. Make your love the driving force for all my thoughts. Amen.
