Lord God, Don’t treat me like I deserve. I am not as good as I think I am. Please don’t treat me like I deserve. Instead, keep leading me back to you that I might find grace and mercy at your cross. Amen.

In mercy, God doesn’t give us what we truly deserve. Instead, he intervenes through people. He intervenes through his Word. He intervenes by his Spirit to lead us back to him.
