“Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have departed from the faith. Grace be with you all’ 1 Timothy 6:20-21

Dear Jesus, Your gospel is beautiful, simple, sweet, and life changing. In love you came and gave us salvation. Your life for ours! It’s the basis of our identity, our peace and our hope. We trust that in love you have rescued us, even though we don’t really deserve it. Help me to guard and protect this gospel and what it has done in my life from the distractions of religious knowledge that only puffs up. Keep me from wondering into theological debates that starve my soul of this beautiful message. Accept my devotion as a thank you offering to you. Amen.

With Christ the main thing, is to keep the main thing, the main thing!
