ecclesiastes3_1-2b.jpg

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.  - Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Dear Lord, I did not ask to live in this time and place.  You placed me here right where you want me.  But ever since I got here, I have tried to control time and place.  It always sets me up for frustration and makes me lose the joy of the moment no matter what "time" it is.  Help me to savor the time you have given while I have it, to use it for good and to do what is appropriate for each "time." Give me wisdom to know when to save and when to toss, when to tear down and when to build up, when to stay put and when to move.  Help my family and friends with this same challenge.  I cannot stop time from passing, but I can stop just passing through time.  I want to worship throughout my entire time on earth and make every second count.  AMEN

Time cannot be created, stopped, saved, or exploited.  It runs its course for everyone and no one can keep it forever.  It cannot help or hurt you by itself.   In heaven, the anxiety caused by time will be forever forgotten.
