AF Summer Study Series

HERE I STAND - Martin Luther

The Reformation—the word still conjures up images and excitement whenever we hear it. Many picture that determined German monk nailing his ninety-five theses to the Wittenberg church door and later on taking his stand before the emperor and church representatives at Worms. What he said and did back there in the 1500s quite literally changed the history of the church and the world. Heavy stuff.

In this study series we want to learn not just the history of the Reformation that was jump started 500 years ago, but we want to know the theology that was behind the world changing that God did through this little man who simply said: “I did nothing; I left it to the Word.”

On God’s Word is where Luther stood.  He could do nothing else.  God grant that this study of the history and theology of Martin Luther would lead us to the same solid foundation for our faith.

The study and seminar will take place on the following Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Light snacks will be served at 6:30, the study will begin at 7 p.m.
